Professional Experience

• David Chung is a specialist in Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound.After basic physician training, he did advanced training in both specialties at Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

• He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) and Diploma of Child Health (DCH) in 2000.

• Since then he continued working in The Children’s Hospital at Westmead as a Nuclear Physician and is currently a Senior Staff Specialist.

• During that time he did further training to be accredited for interpreting Positron Emission Tomography (PET).

• He was awarded Fellowship of the Australian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists (FAANMS) in 2013.

• He has been granted an academic appointment as a Clinical Lecturer in the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health, Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney.

• He is also a Clinical Lecturer in the Australian School of Advanced Medicine, Macquarie University.

• He has appointments at Macquarie Medical Imaging and Strathfield Private Hospital and also works in private practice here in Alfred Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound.
