Duties include:

  • Maintain departmental safety regulations.

  • Ensure Radiation safety in department and at Strathfield Private Hospital (SPH).

  • ​Logistical support in providing ablative Iodine-131 therapy at SPH.

  • Monitoring waste radiation levels and safety practices within the Department and at SPH.

  • Ensure day-to-day running of Alfred Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound Pty Ltd (ANMU).

  • Manage ordering, reconstitution, cost analysis and quality control of radioisotopes.

  • Manage stock and assess inventory.

  • Ensure quality assurance of Gamma cameras, Dose calibrators/Monitors adhered to.

  • Develop, maintain and assess computer systems pertaining to imaging.

  • Continual software development of studies using OsiriX e.g. Melanoma, Breast Cancer, Oesophageal, Cardiac, Lung, Parathyroid.

  • Design and write Software within the NucLear Mac environment e.g. Captopril Analysis, CCK E.F, DMSA (Geometric Mean), Lung Quantitation studies, Renal Differentials, Renal Lasix Washout, Renal Transplant studies, Thallium Compartment Analysis, Thyroid Uptakes, WB MAA Quantitation, Oesophageal Analysis, Bone Quantitation studies (Uptake studies), Colon transit program

  • Maintain departmental networks using DICOM protocols.

  • Participate in providing information and images in Medical Journals.

  • Assist in imaging, performing haematological studies (e.g. White Cell Labelling/Red Cell Labelling) and patient care.

  • Produce cost analysis and feasibility reports.

  • Assist in Nuclear Medicine departmental mergers.

  • Design and implement cost effective Nuclear Medicine departments.

  • Perform cost analysis on building new departments.

  • Project manage these new departments.

  • Protocol development, adaptation and maintenance.

  • Website design, development, implementation and maintenance.

  • PDY Supervisor and Mentor for ANZSNM.

  • Supervisor for Sydney University, Newcastle University and Charles Sturt University.

  • Guest Lecturer in the past at Sydney University, Cumberland Campus.

  • Assisted in establishing Campsie Nuclear Medicine.

  • Co-ordinate architects, suppliers and building managers to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Assisted in establishing Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Ultrasound in the RPAH Medical Centre.

  • Assisted in establishing Alfred Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound Pty Ltd in the RPAH Medical Centre.

  • Assisted companies with their queries on the effectiveness of their products e.g. Technegas (Image Quality), Nuclearfields (Collimation), Gammasonics (Gamma Probe).​

  • Continual cost feasibility studies and assessment.

  • Create Online Access for Referrers to their patients images by creating/configuring Server in conjunction with the Osirix Server software 2014.

  • Website creation 2013.

  • Establish Alfred Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound Pty Ltd 2013.

  • Assist in merging two Nuclear Medicine Departments 2011-2012.

  • National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) Departmental Accreditation 2012.

  • Oesophageal Transit Studies – Dysfunction of oesophageal peristalsis 2010-Present.

  • Osirix Development and Implementation using Lymphoscintigraphy data and CT data 2009-Present.

  • WB MAA Analysis to establish true "Normal Range" 2006-2008.

  • Colon Studies - Analysis 2000-Present.

  • Bone Uptake Analysis and Development in Charcot's Arthropathy patients 2000-2008

  • Establish Advanced Nuclear Medicine Services 2000.

  • Establish Campsie Nuclear Medicine 1999.

  • Thallium Compartment Studies for diagnosing Compartment Syndrome (Incapacitating muscle disorder in elite athletes) 1998-Present.
